Lucy plays with NYO

One of our senior violinists, Lucy Ruuskasnen, successfully auditioned for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain, and will be playing with them on their spring tour.  Drawing its intake from all over the UK, competition for places is fierce - especially in the violin section - so Lucy has done brilliantly!  Conducted by Mexican Carlos Miguel Prieto, the orchestra will play a programme from the Americas - North and South.

The Selection Procedure

anna

A preliminary audition can be arranged through the Director of The Music School at any time during the academic year. On the basis of this informal meeting advice will be given on whether or not to proceed further. Those short-listed for a final audition will be called in for assessment by a panel of highly-renowned musicians from both within and outwith the School.
